COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA – Senator Lindsey Graham has been endorsed for re-election by the National Rifle Association – Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF).
“On behalf of our five million members across the country, the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund is proud to endorse your candidacy for U.S. Senate in South Carolina,” said Chris W. Cox, chairman of the NRA-PVF. “We share a common goal to safeguard the rights of law-abiding Americans who own firearms for hunting, personal protection, collecting or any other lawful purpose. And we thank you for your tireless leadership in the United States Senate in protecting gun owners from President Obama’s most recent attacks on our constitutional freedoms.”
“As an avid hunter and gun-owner, I am a longtime supporter of the constitutional right to keep and bear arms,” said Graham. “I’m proud to have the support of the National Rifle Association and tens of thousands of gun-owners across South Carolina in my re-election campaign.”
In its endorsement letter to Graham, the NRA-PVF praised his longtime support for the 2nd Amendment and cited his:
- Opposition to all attempts to ban lawfully owned firearms and magazines;
- Vote against the so-called “universal” background check system that would criminalize the private transfer of a firearm between life-long friends and many family members;
- Opposition of any treaty by the United Nations or any other global organization that would impose restrictions on American gun owners;
- Support for concealed carry reciprocity, which would enable law-abiding Americans to carry a concealed firearm in any other state that does not prohibit concealed carry.
