For years, Lindsey Graham has been calling for a new strategy...

"We haven't had enough troops in Iraq, so we need to adjust"

"Graham Defends Military Surge in Iraq"
PBS News Hour July 17, 2007

"Graham has been an outspoken advocate for the surge strategy..."
Washington Post September 16, 2007

Now, Senator Lindsey Graham explains why america must not surrender...

The Iraq surge is working. Sectarian violence is down and Al Qaida is on the run. Real progress is being made. Now is the time for Iraqi politicians to bring their country together. And we must not allow liberal Democrats to project weakness or to issue a timetable for surrender.

The great conflict of our era is at hand. And we must fight to win. If we fail in Iraq, radical Islamic terrorists will overrun theMiddle East and attempt to strike us again here at home.

I intend to lead the fight to give our troops the time and the support they need to win. Please join me in this effort to secure America's future.

Senator Lindsey Graham has been one of the most steadfast supporters of President Bush's efforts to win the War on Terror. He authored legislation requiring suspected terrorists to be tried in military courts - not civilian courts - and to prevent them from suing our own troops in federal court. He has been to Iraq
eight times and was among the first to call for the troop surge in Iraq

Prior to his election to public office, Lindsey was on active duty in the U.S. Air Force for over six years, including service overseas from 1984-1988. He was then called back to duty with the Air National Guard during the First Gulf War, where he served as Judge Advocate at McEntire Air National Guard Base.

He is the only U.S. Senator currently serving in the Reserves. In the Senate, he serves on the Armed Services and Veterans Affairs Committees.

I agree that surrender is not an option in Iraq. We should let our Generals and troops win the war.
